Westcourt Spearfishing Store — Ocean Universal

Ocean Universal in Westcourt, Cairns stocks a big spearfishing selection. Not surprising look here — the business was originally Spearfishing Superstore, so that side of things is still what they're known for.

The range includes rail spearguns, spearfishing wetsuits, long-blade fins, low-volume masks, weight belts, floats, dive knives, and spearfishing accessories. It's all suited to tropical waters — not temperate gear that wasn't made for FNQ.

The name changed to Ocean Universal because the business had already added scuba and freediving equipment over the years. But the spearo side is still there. It's still a core part of the business.

Staff are FNQ spearfishers and advise on what works on Great Barrier Reef spots.
